Feeling Monotone

As per most days I woke up hating everything I own. Most especially all the shirts I own, so I've started building my outfits from the bottom up. Enter sparkly Wanted booties from South Moon Under. If it sparkles, I either love it own it or covet it. That being said, the rest of my outfit was relatively neutral and equally dull, just like me [[I kid, I kid!]]

Oh fiddlesticks, I failed to mention the newest addition to my purse collection. Oh hey girl hey, I'm borderline obsessed with all things Michael Kors and therefore I snagged this one as a Chrismassy gift in Peony and exchanged for Luggage. And yes it was the best decision I've made as naturally I own two other pink purses, and yes they are regulars in my life. I love the color pink almost as much as I love the color glitter- glitter is definitely a color in my book.

Did I mention how shiny it is? I love the obnoxious oversized hardware - that is the buckle. Thanks Mom.

Neutrals & Mint

My personal style is heavily saturated with neutrals and basics. One might even call it quintessential Chantel. Just trademarked [[not really.]]

Fortunately for me, I have a ridiculous amount of clothes, so it was easy to center my outfit around my favorite (ok, maybe one of many favorite) pair of shoes. They are platforms and wedges and a pretty BASIC mint color. Tie up like tennis shoes, so on trend minus the whole tennis shoe part.

To offset the overly dull colors I was wearing, I partnered the outfit with some bling bling. Enter chunky necklace, chunky bracelet and clutch. Oh I love when friends score me cute little clutches at sample houses (circa 2008.)

Plaid Blues

Fall is by far my favorite season because -cue drum roll- I have a slight obsession with plaid. Don't get me wrong, plaid is pretty sparse in my wardrobe but I manage to mix it up as many ways as possible. Sadly the weather doesn't exactly match the [actual] season today as the temperature was pushing mid seventy today; needless to say I still wore this lovely blue flannel frock. To lighten my look, I chose to pair it with a pastel tank and accessories. 

I can't stop there, I absolutely adore these rugged Aldo boots I purchased from the outlets last winter.  There is no doubt in my mind I will wear these out, I find absolutely any reason to wear them when the weather cools down...Side Note: Did I mention how amazing these skinnies are from Zara? Jeans that fit my tall yet slim physique, are far and rare, I casually spotted these on one of my various shopping adventures and was surprised at how wonderfully they fit. [So naturally I also bought a pair in a delicious Olive Green, and am thinking of getting another in color- suggestions?]
